Hello, everyone! I so appreciate you signing up to receive updates from the Celestial Archive. I hope you’ll stick around as I begin to share more about my writing and publication journey (I promise not to spam you).
But first, a little about me
I’m Rae Castor, a Canadian author of science fiction and fantasy. I currently live just outside of Toronto, which I recently returned to after 16 years overseas. I began writing fiction to cope with chronic illness in 2012 and will be releasing my first full-length novel in 2026. My stories feature expansive kingdoms, steamy romances, and characters who battle illnesses while saving (or destroying) the world.

Okay, but what is your novel about?
I will be sharing more about my debut in the coming months, but for now, what is the book about? At the heart, it’s a dark and romantic thrill ride through a dystopian desert (like the Mad Max franchise) to the glittering eternal night of the vampire court. It features an enemy romance in the vein of The Cruel Prince but entirely for adults.

magic systems rooted in trauma and memory
wagers between cruel gods
vicious monsters galore
deadly dystopian Mad Max-esque deserts
conniving nobles and sassy, chaotic princes
vampire courts ruled by kings who eat souls
a human FMC driven by vengeance
